Warding Off Injuries

Training Camp commences next week. I want to have a good season. I don’t want any injuries. So this year, I ‘m doing things a little differently.

Take a Break For Your Body.

Some guys go to Training Camp all pumped up. The worked their body all year. These guys were still lifting weights and running, right up to the start of camp. They are the first players to get drained and whine of sore muscles, headaches, and need to go home.

This year, I am going to rest my body, before I start Training Camp. It’s a great time to take in a few movies and relax. Training Camp is strong, and I want to do my best.

Want Can I Do During Training?

Sometimes, training can be unsafe, too. I spot guys with knee pain, sore muscles, and headaches. You can prevent injuries like these by:

1. Not overtraining. This injury is begun by doing way too much of a physical activity. For example: trying to lift 100 lbs., when you can only do 50 lbs.

2. Doing the right techniques. You need to do the exercises correctly. Whether it be swinging a bat or throwing a football, doing it the wrong way could cause an injury.

How Can I Prepare For The Game?

As with any sport, you require to organize for the game. Know the rules, they are meant to preserve the game safe. For example: penalties are used for:

- roughing the passer

- dashing into the kicker

- striking a player out of bounds

By knowing the rules, you can save the team from being penalized for your error. Rules care for everyone in the game from being wounded.

How Can I Get Ready For The Game?

When I get ready for the game, there are a few things that I do:

1) I make sure that I have the proper equipment and protective gear. In baseball, the batting helmet protects the players from getting hit with 90 mph fast balls.

2) Warm Up Prior to Starting The Game. I always do sprints and stretch my body before each game. Then, I am ready for high-intensity work.

3) This year, if I am tired, feel weak or feel pain, I am going to tell my coach. Pay attention to my body, because pain may indicate a problem. It’s hard to concentrate on the game, when hurting is on my mind.

After the game, I try to take a break. I’m glad that our next practice is two days away. This way, I can recover from the game.

How Do I Formulate Training Safe?

There are sound ways to train. You can prevent injuries by:

1) Pace Yourself. Try not to do everything at once. Scatter the workout over a number of days. Modify the activities to suit your abilities.

2) Gradually Increase Your Activity Level. Do not increase your weights or distances by any more than 10 per cent each week. Any more than 10 per cent and I might be overtraining and risking injury.

3) Add Variety to Your Training. I execute different types of exercises, so that I possibly could work different muscle groups. I’ve also put aerobic exercises, strength training, and stretching into my routine.

What Should I Do During The Game?

During the game, I try to avoid blows to the head. Football Players, Boxers, Martial Arts Fighters and Basketball Players all take blows to the head. These blows can cause Pinched Neck Nerves.

It’s tough, when you have a pinched neck nerve. I can feature numbness in my arms and hands. I wait a week, to see if the condition gets better. Most likely, the pain will go away.

You Can Prevent Injuries!

By following these few simple rules, I can prevent injuries and have a great season.

Good Luck!
