The AFL Premiership Season

The AFL Premiership Season is an Australian Football League competition held in the month of March and is indeed a competition for the 16 teams from around Australia. It has 22 rounds of play which are for the teams to dominate.

The 22 rounds of play must all be completed before the top eight teams from around Australia are determined. And these eight teams shall compete in the four-week AFL Finals Series. The team that will win in the Grand Final in the fourth week shall be declared as the Premiership winning team and shall receive a Premiership Cup.

The Grand Final was indeed set to be played on the last Saturday of September at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. But , in 1991, it was played at Waverley Park because the Melbourne Cricket Ground was being redeveloped. And in 2000, it was played early September as the Sydney Olympics started September 15.

The AFL Premiership Season is just one of the competitions that football fans love. They love it because it could just be so entertaining because it has as many as 16 teams from around Australia as competitors. It has the action no doubt.
