Success Sought by Rebels vs NCAA Football Betting Odds

The Mississippi Rebels will attempt to add to their results vs the college football betting probabilities in 2010.

Bringing in former Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is something the team has thought about. Bearing in mind they have no one to backup starter Nathan Stanley, the Rebels may use Masoli. Mississippi went 9-4 last year and 7-6 vs the NCAA football lines.

Head coach Houston Nutt did a fine job a year ago with the Rebels and he is hoping for more in 2010. Taking a flyer on Masoli may be a great move or it might upset the other players. Backup quarterback Raymond Cotton left the squad, so now the Rebels are compelled to consider adding Masoli. Mississippi would genuinely want to have an experienced quarterback to back up Stanley. The Mississippi Rebels would be gambling that Masoli could stay out of trouble. Individuals wonder whether he can do the right things at Mississippi, though he couldn’t do so at Oregon. The Rebels regretted that decision when they took a possibility last year on Jamar Hornsby as they had to dismiss him from the team after he got into trouble again. They might not have discovered anything from that situation though as they look willing to take a possibility on Masoli.

Mississippi is going to have to do something due to the fact their current backup quarterback is junior college transfer Randall Mackey who wasn’t even at spring practice.

Mississippi plays in the SEC which is never effortless but the Rebels do have some winnable games at the sports betting source. Getting rid of Dexter McCluster and Jevan Snead most likely will keep Ole Miss from improving to a ten win year but they should still make a bowl competition. The Rebels truly like redshirt freshman wide receiver Ja-Mes Logan. As they return most of their starters from last year including Jerrell Powe and Kentrell Lockett, the defense for Mississippi looks great.

Someone at Mississippi knew what they were doing while they created this season’s schedule. As they host Jacksonville State, go to Tulane and then play 3 straight at home vs Vanderbilt, Fresno State and Kentucky, the Mississippi Rebels have pretty winnable games to break in their new offensive competitors. The Rebels might start the season 5-0 prior to likely losses at Alabama and Arkansas. They host Auburn after which they get a gimme competition at home against UL Lafayette. That might get them to six wins and they may win at Tennessee the following week. They will likely lose at LSU nevertheless they may win at Mississippi State to end the year. With an upset along the way the Rebels may find a way to eight victories this season.
