Soccer Worldcup Talent and the Brazil Football Team Are Synonymous
The Brazil football team are the champions of five Soccer Worldcup games, and are the only team that have made an appearance at all 19 World Cup matches. It’s no surprise then that they are tipped as the favorites to win the South Africa Worldcup 2010.
Brazil hosted the 1950 Soccer Worldcup, which finished in disappointment as they were defeated in the finals by Uruguay. As confirmation of their disappointment, the Brazilian soccer team has never worn white soccer shirts since that year. In 1958 in Sweden, they were the first team to win the Soccer Worldcup in another continent.
The Brazilian soccer team’s ultimate performance was at the 1970 Mexico World Cup where they embraced their third Soccer Worldcup triumph. But unfortunately, this glory was not to be the case again until the 1994 USA World Cup.
At the 1998 France Soccer Worldcup, they were once again set as the favorites; yet this was not to be the case, with the notorious Ronaldo story at the front of every person’s mind. But in 2002, after Ronaldo was cleared, all was forgotten at the Korea / Japan Soccer Worldcup and once again the Brazil football team rose to the test and walked away with the championship.
The Brazilian soccer team is resilient and has a profundity of talent. Alongside Spain, they are once again ranked as the South Africa Worldcup 2010 favorites, to attain the Jules Rimet Trophy.
Brazil Football Stars
It’s truly not easy to separate out a couple of players amongst the Brazilian soccer team which is rich with ability. However for the length of the Brazil soccer 2009 season, a few legends became clear. Firstly, the outstanding goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who has played in 18 Soccer Worldcup games. His safe hands continue to be an essential characteristic of the team’s success. Kaka has turned out to be a resource of motivation for the Brazilian soccer team following his fantastic performance during the Brazil soccer 2009 season which resulted in his worthy claim of the Adidas Golden Ball. And of course Luis Fabiano’s world class act with five goals including a priceless brace in their victory over the USA, totaling 9 Soccer Worldcup goals to his name.
Brazilian Soccer Team Coach
Born October 31, 1963 in Ijuí, Brazil, Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri (better known as Dunga) is no stranger to Brazil football. As a fierce and powerful midfielder, Dunga undoubtedly received his fair share of emotions as a Brazilian soccer team player. At the ripe age of 30, he captained the team to victory at the 1994 USA World Cup.
After 6 years of retirement, Dunga accepted the responsibility as the Brazilian soccer team coach in August 2006, in spite of his deficient experience as a coach. In his initial months he received a lot of condemnation due to his alternative methods. However, he dismissed much of the reservation when he led A Canarinha to glory at the 2007 Copa America and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, as well as finishing top of their group in the South Africa Worldcup 2010 qualifiers. Dunga has said a number of times that he plans to retire following this season, so let’s see what transpires and who his successor will be. It’s anyone’s estimate at this point.
