Six Pack Abs Workout – Core Training Exercises

A large number of people understand core strength as the cornerstone of the body. The benefits of core strength building include boosting body balance, great posture and overall body strength. With a strong core, you are least vulnerable to injuries specifically those that are commonly called the lower back injuries and you will have greater core strength to execute day to day tasks and heavy lifting. You need to incorporate core training exercises in your usual workout and not be like most athletes who fail to acknowledge how important these exercises are. Remember that you will get just so many benefits when you undertake core strength training not limited to the three mentioned above.

The core is made up of back muscles, abdominal muscles, the hips and the pelvis. You will notice that these muscles form the midsection of the body and are there mainly for back support and holding the upright position of the spine. Without these muscles, the spine would not even stay in place and moving the upper body would be impossible. Basically, the correct posture is delivered by the core muscles and undergoing a core strength training routine is more than just exercising, it is about boosting the overall body’s performance. There exists a wide variety of exercises that you can perform to enhance the strength of your core and each may target one specific muscle group or more than one muscle groups if it is a compound exercise. We can group these exercises into three phases depending on what they focus on. They are strength, power and stability. Although strength, power and stability are all related, you can emphasize on a certain exercise group according to your ambition and motivation for going for core strength training in the first place.

Stability refers to the muscles’ ability to observe a desired body position even under stress. Strength is the muscle’s ability to move against a certain degree of resistance through full range motion and power refers to the ability of the muscles to move with speed and strength at the same time. If you are in search of any core exercise, it will be of great benefit to know that various workouts target different areas and offers varying results.
