Preseason Features for Week 2 in NFL Gambling
Football betting supporters will have lots of excitement and handicapping opportunities as the second full week of preseason football gambling occurs. NFL gambling gets off to a great launch Friday night as Cincinnati sponsors Philadelphia in a football gambling game of playoff teams from last year on Fox TV.
As the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Giants in their new stadium, where Big Blue will be the sponsor team for the first time, Saturday’s card features a potential Super Bowl matchup. The New Meadowlands Stadium, one of the most expensive stadiums ever built, opened for the first time in April of this year and will be shared by the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
The Washington Redskins were flying high following a blowout win at home over the Buffalo Bills in their preseason opener last week and will entertain the Baltimore Ravens, who are a favorite to win the AFC title.
The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers in a matchup of two of the youngest rebuilding teams in the NFL while the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Miami Dolphins in an all-Florida affair.
The Cleveland Browns will host the St Louis Rams in what may be a renewal of college football’s Red River Rivalry with rookie quarterbacks Sam Bradford of the Rams via Oklahoma and Colt McCoy of the Browns via Texas.
In what several oddsmakers will be a potential “over” competition with the NFL odds, the Houston Texans will play at New Orleans vs the world champ Saints.
The swaggering New York Jets will confront the Panthers in Carolina while the Chicago Bears will host the Oakland Raiders in Brian Urlacher’s first match at home after missing a year ago. After he dislocated his wrist in the starting match vs the Packers, Urlacher was compelled to sit out the 2009 season. The wrist needed surgery and he went on to miss the remainder of the year.
A restoration of SEC hostilities is likely in Denver when Tim Tebow of the Broncos by way of Florida will encounter Matt Stafford of the Lions by way of Georgia when the 2 young quarterbacks proceed to learn the pro game.
In a game that will draw a lot of competition with the NFL lines and in a hugely attractive potential Super Bowl competition at San Diego, the Chargers will sponsor the Dallas Cowboys.
Pete Carroll and the Seahawks will host the Green Bay Packers. Carroll is the current head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. He was appointed earlier this year to his first head coaching position with the NFL since he coached the New England Patriots for the 1999 season. Prior to accepting a position coaching with the NFL again, he spent a decade coaching the pretty productive USC squad.
As the San Francisco 49ers host the Minnesota Vikings, who were quite impressive in their preseason debut at St Louis in a blowout win, NBC has a Sunday Night football wagering competition of leading NFC contenders.
As the Tennessee Titans host the Arizona Cardinals, the ESPN Monday Night game is also a matchup of top contenders.
