Why does training speed matter? Our body adapts very specifically to the stresses that are placed on it. If you train slowly you will get stronger at slow motion. If you perform a squat quickly, you will get stronger at higher speeds. You may not win any power lifting competition. But, that doesn’t matter. These are the kind of jump workouts that will give you results.
This is why basketball jump workouts are so effective for increasing your vertical leap. Therefore, jumping exercises are able to produce strength at rapid speeds. This allows for greater improvements in agility and vertical jump.
