Future is Now for Shanahan and McNabb in Football Gambling

Football wagering expectation and excitement for the Redskins and their probabilities with the NFL preseason probabilities is as big as it’s been since the Joe Gibbs time.

Since there is new found optimism for Washington and their contenders with the NFL preseason odds, NFL betting handicappers are eagerly anticipating the start of the season.

Long time Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan brings 2 Super Bowl rings and a fresh approach with him to Redskins Park and eleven-year celeb quarterback Donovan McNabb comes from NFC East Division rival Philadelphia all set to lead a Redskin revolution.

Washington hit rock bottom with a 4-12 track record a year ago but optimism is high with two proven champions such as Shanahan and McNabb saddling up for the 2010 campaign.

In addition to the improved offense Jim Haslett, who had his share of success as a NFL head coach, will run the defense. He’s going to be replacing Greg Blache, who’s retiring.

Shanahan took last year off after being let go by Denver after his team collapsed down the stretch in the 2008 sports gambling season. A year ago he took time to relax, study, and get his head clear. He found the Washington Redskins to be an desirable chance.

“You have a great history,” said Shanahan. “You have 92,000 at every game and a history of games being sold out, three world championships, great players, Hall of Fame players that have been here. That’s what separates franchises. That’s something that’s very special about this organization.” With online sports gambling expectations undeniably high Shanahan stated that he will not talk them down but rather try and live up to them.

“You don’t have to temper that,” Shanahan explained. “That’s what you should expect and that’s what the fans should expect. If you don’t have that belief, if you don’t believe and the fans don’t believe, chances are the players aren’t going to believe.” Shanahan was taking over a team that missed the playoffs for 2 of the previous 3 years and was coming off a losing season when Shanahan became the head coach of the Denver Broncos. He turned the Broncos around in only 2 years in NFL lines betting, following them up by 2 straight seasons of winning the Super Bowl. He comes to the Redskins with nearly two decades of experience.

Although there’s plenty of optimism right now for the Washington Redskins probabilities, this also feels like a familiar road to plenty of people who have observed the franchise since Dan Snyder took over as owner. There have been plenty of other high priced big names that have walked into Redskin Park only to leave after not being able to live up to the NFL wagering buzz.

There are additionally questions about the 33-year old McNabb since he has been sporadic in recent years with a more skilled cast surrounding him in Philadelphia.

George Allen began the Redskin Tradition of “The Future is Now” philosophy of bringing in veterans and he would be happy to see that what he began in 1971 is being carried on to this day.
